Fiddlehead Salad

Spring! Good weather for grill, but some green is missing from the menu? Nature will hook you up with some – fiddlehead fern (also called ostrich fern, or strutseving in Norwegian).

  1. Rinse the fiddlehead carefully off all the sand, dirt and their own brown-yellow shells.

  2. Steam them for 15-20 minutes

  3. Mince some garlic and ginger, and then fry them slightly in hot oil.
  4. Mix all ingredients together. Keep tasting.

  5. Drizzle sesame seeds on top before serving.
